About Let's Get You Organized - Professionals
Organizer Principals: Beverly Murdoch and Judy Powell - We have
been in business together for the past twenty years. What makes us
unique
in our business is that we have experience in coaching teachers,
parents, children, and groups in the art of being organized. We keep
you focused!
Our organizing expertise includes helping
new
business start-ups and existing business clean-ups as well as
residential organizing, paper management, garage/estate sales, event/meeting
planning, time management, and space planning. We will customize
your present home or commercial office filing system and facilitate
removal of unnecessary clutter.
Organizing Method & Results
- Evaluation - To begin, we will tour the
area to be organized. We will ask you questions regarding your
goals and wishes for the area. We will then assess the space,
storage capabilities and room/area flow, taking into consideration
whether it is to be utilized as a multi task or single task
area.
- Plan - This is the step in which we start
planning space use, storage options and room layouts. Think
of it as an action plan to address the clutter. Of course,
at every step the needs of you and the people that are affected
are taken into consideration when planning your organization
solution.
- Sort - In sorting we will create different
bin's, depending on if it's a home or an office, for you/us
to catagorize the items in the area. An example of such would
be, "important," "does not belong in here," "trash," "don't
need it," "donate it," or "archive it." This
step might be repeated after the first round because as many
realize, the first steps of sorting sometimes can be difficult.
However, once you see what you have, what you really use, and
what you don't, this process becomes easier, and you will be
suprised that on a second round you will clear even more clutter.
- Keep - Purge - Store This
is where you will see the fruits of organizing your space.
The "don't need it," "archive it," and "donate
it" items are removed from the area with just the "keep
it," "use it," and "area use" items
left in the area. We will then group like items together, "area
use items" are then transfered into the areas defined
in the "Action Plan." Additional storage items such
as cabinets, boxes, closet organizers, or shelving are up and
in place for your "keep it," "important," and "use
it" items, work and use flows are implemented and your
area has come together.

- At the conclusion of our professional organizing services
we will leave you with a maintenance action list to help you
stay organized in your home or office.
