This is not just any restaurant, Jamroc is a culinary history tour of co- owner's David's family's 400 year history in Jamaica. You will feel transported to Jamaica when you take your table at Jamroc 101. Island sounds and ambience greet you at the door and the restaurant is alive with color and energy, and the menu is a tropical adventure looking for a palate.

When you come to Jamroc 101 you will be treated to the authentic foods made of the West Indies The menu, written with a pinch of island lingo, helps to complete the illusion of dining in Jamaica. At Jamroc we serve more than the popular "Jamaican Jerk" which is either chicken, beef or pork. Feeling a little daring, check out our eating Jamaican suggestions.

	Jamaican Patties- A Tasty, flaky baked pastry filled with your choice of: Curry Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian. New to Caribbean food? We suggest the Jamroc Sampler Basket, which comes with a little bit of dis and dat , 2 wings, 2 plantain and 2 festival (fritters)	Rasta-Rap ---- a thin, tortilla like bread grilled and stuffed with choice of curry chicken, curry beef or vegetarian. Order our famous Blackened Fish Como Plate that includes a multiple tasting adventure. combo's come with fried plantain, festival and your choice of two sides	Diners finish out their Caribbean food adventure with a sweet finish of "Jamaican Me Crazy" vanilla ice cream splashed with Jamaican rum sauce surrounded by plantain slices. Traditional favorites Plantain Tart toped with vanilla ice cream or ... Jamaican Bun And Cheese, two slices of Jamaican fruitcake served with two slices of cheddar cheese.
What to drink		At The Table
At Jamroc 101 we offer authentic Jamaican BIGGA soft drinks, in several flavors, a carbonated drink imported from Jamaica. Try our favorite Ginger Beer (non alcoholic) or the popular Coconut Water. We also serve beer and wine. *note brands of Jamaican import products might change, but it's all good mon.		A variety of imported Jamaican seasonings are grouped on the tables. Kick it up with "Pickapeppa Sauce," and "Walkerswood Hot Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce." A caution on the bottle says, "Use sparingly." One mainstay is Jamaican Blue Mountain Curry Powder.

About Owners

David and Tina DaCosta have brought a little bit of Jamaica to Coast Highway. That means everything from Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings to Wicked Jamaican Patties.
From the moment you enter the door, you are treated to the authentic atmosphere of David's homeland. He hails from a suburb of Kingston, and his family has been rooted in Jamaica for 400 years, he said.

The shack by the tracks now sports bright tropical designs on its back-patio walls, and the fare is casual Jamaican (plus a couple of Cajun dishes). Check out our samplers which include luscious soft-fried plantains and splendid patties (empanadas to you and me) with a choice of beef, curry chicken, or veggies. The spicing of the jerks and curry entrées are down-tuned to suit tourist tastes, but the table bottle of Walkerswood Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce can kick that right up. Don't miss the fresh coconut water, served out of a young Thai coconut. Soca, ska, and (clean) reggae set the mood, and there's live steel pan some weekend evenings. Beer, wine, Bigga soft drinks.
